The rent was originally $175 per month rising to $200 upon lease renewal. My unit faced the rear and had a lovely skylight. In fact, not only did Edward Gorey live there, Alexis Kirk, the esteemed jewelry designer did as well. It is a beautiful building, it was my first NYC apartment at 18 years old. I went to school while living here, worked down the street as a bartender and went to Les Halles for lunch when I could afford it. I unexpectedly became pregnant with twins, and we still lived here until I found a bigger space in Stuyvesant Town. My sister moved in. I so love this place.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10645617730748347742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502312000087595701.post-88448067689990835092012-03-03T14:17:46.554-08:002012-03-03T14:17:46.554-08:00wow. that's fascinating. He was eventually forced out of the building after the current landlords claimed his apartment was not his primary residence.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502312000087595701.post-69094324942860770262011-11-21T10:14:10.030-08:002011-11-21T10:14:10.030-08:00It was not the groom but rather the 20-year old Mr...It was not the groom but rather the 20-year old Mrs. Deane Aston Libby (Elizabeth Wiley) who died in 1934. He was to be married on April 7 in Bernardsville NJ to Elizabeth Howell Wiley.Manyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17841056239957503974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502312000087595701.post-57209644822083929322011-01-19T08:07:12.914-08:002011-01-19T08:07:12.914-08:00Love the Puck Building and have painted it several...Love the Puck Building and have painted it several times over the years.
