It was in a vibrant Norwegian-American community of the period and it seems reasonable that Juel Bie reached out to another Scandinavian owned business like the Hecla Iron Works, who cast the 200 Fifth Ave clock, to cast a clock to have outside his store. He featured it in his newspaper advertisements. Unfortunately the "Columbia Street Clock" went missing about 1970.
