He was a silversmith in NYC with his father, William G. Forbes from 1805-1809. They worked together at 90 Broadway. Following that, Garrett worked alone at 316 Broadway until he became a US Customs Weigher and Tax Collector. I would love to learn more about the buildings used by the Forbes Family of Silversmiths over the years they worked in NYC.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
