He emig...My grgrgrgrgrandfather was Charles Hummel. He emigrated to Wisconsin in 1851, after losing his wife and some of his children in New York. He arrived in Jefferson County, WI with sons Charles Jr. and George. Charles Sr. lived and farmed in the area until his death in 1886. Thanks for the pictures and story! I hope to visit someday soon!
