(2) The most sold-out dance event of the year in New York (which is hardly short of dance opportunities, see Lincoln Center, Joice Dance Theater, etc) is the annual Fall For Dance, with a dozen-plus companies at rock-bottom prices (around $20) thanks to a heavy subsidy from Bloomberg; close to 100,000 seats are sold online in a few hours.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502312000087595701.post-11484231624097038332023-01-23T09:16:23.919-08:002023-01-23T09:16:23.919-08:00Excellent, again. Tom, for ease of search, you might like to sprinkle the name "Balanchine" around, it was he who co-created the City Ballet, and many of his most important ballets began here. Prior to 2010 the orchestra the orchestra area had a flat floor, and everybody there looked up; not the best. The two balcony areas are vast, a real surprise at first look, explaining how it has 2750 seats, actually more than in Koch Theater where City Ballet is now.
