I don't believe he had any connection to the Huntingtons. Is there no problem it will not solve?
2) I like naming a yacht 'U-no'. I question the wisdom of taking a monkey on it for your honeymoon.
3) I wish there were photos of Ogden Codman's 1910 interior renovations. He knew how to deliver classic French style.
4) I can appreciate that Percival Farquhar enjoyed controlling railroads in South America from his Paris mansion so much that he decided to come over to the United States and do the same thing here, only to fail. It's the reverse of all the times Americans have assumed that, what works here must work everywhere.
5) I don't own a fortune in jewelry, but the thought of leaving it in a jewelry box on a dresser while various low paid servants and workers are in and out of that room seems foolishly reckless to me.
6) As was Archer Huntington's my [1950s] birth was classified illegitimate. Quite a stigma to attach to a child. It's a wonder I'm not typing this from a maximum security prison.
7) I think the Audubon Terrace Complex is excellent and beautiful. I don't live in NYC but find it difficult to believe locals consider it to be too far north to be worth the journey. It disproves the adage: If you build it, they will come.Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05381265307497353021noreply@blogger.com
